Open Beta

The big day for communipedia yiid had come someat the end of february 2009, when the open beta version was released. Marco Ripanti tells you more about it in an episode of yiid.tv about the Open beta release. Before, our developer team had a lot of work to do!

How it all began - Closed Beta

In 2007, just before Christmas, ekaabo presented for the first time the idea of communipedia at Le Web 3 in Paris. By the end of 2007, ekaabo already launched the alpha version of communipedia.

Time going on, more and more partner communities were integrated our search engine. In case our partners could not deliver results, members were displayed search results from techorati, flickr and youtube the searchmonkey index of Yahoo. User profile became continuously redesigned. The integration of google maps illustrates where our users live. Due to the integration of JAJAH, it became possible to call our users even when they do not want to publish their phone numbers. The phone numbers stays private, all the same establishing contact is possible.
